摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To obtain a charge pump for efficiently generating a high voltage necessary to a non-volatile memory from a low voltage power source, which is not unreasonably resistive, not power consuming or not large in physical size. CONSTITUTION: A charge pump 40 for increasing the amplitude of a power supply voltage signal Vcc includes an auxiliary pump 42, buffer stage 44, and main pump 46. The auxiliary pump generates several intermediate voltage signals in response to a pair of complementary clock signalsϕ1 andϕ2 . Each intermediate voltage signal has different amplitudes, and they are larger than the amplitude of the power supply voltage signal. A buffer stage increase the amplitudes of the pair of complementary clock signals in response to the several intermediate voltage signals generated by the auxiliary pump. A main pump increases the amplitude of the power supply voltage signal in response to a pair of auxiliary clock signalsϕ1 <+> andϕ2 <+> whose amplitudes are increased generated by the buffer stage.</p>
