The invention concerns .alpha.-methyl-6-(2-quinolinyl-methoxy)-2-naphthalene acetic acid, amine salts wherein the amine is an hydroxyalkylamine of formula NR1R2R3 wherein R1 is hydrogen, phenyl, alkyl of 1-6 carbon atoms or hydroxyalkyl of 1-6 carbon atoms, R2 is hydrogen, alkyl of 1-6 carbon atoms or hydroxyalkyl of 1-6 carbon atoms and R3 is hydroxyalkyl of 1-12 carbon atoms. The preferred salts are the tromethamine salts. The amine salts have enhanced activity as compared to the parent acids.
