PURPOSE:To enable a light-weight and high strength ceiling board to be manufactured easily at a low energy cost by superimposing and then heat-pressing a plurality of a felt-like laminated substance made of rock wool fiber containing uncured resin only at a specific rate. CONSTITUTION:A ceiling board is made such that a plurality of felt-like laminated substances made of a rock wool fiber of 50-150g/m<2> containing uncured resin is heat-pressed in the form of being superimposed. In this instance, the rock wool is made into fiber by employing, as material, e.g. blast furnace slag or basalt, and, e.g. the fiber is set into 1-50mm in its length and the fiber is also set of the order of 1-20mu in its diameter respectively. On the other hand, e.g. phenol resin or melamine resin is used for the uncured resin. In this way, a ceiling board is obtained, which is light-weight and has high strength. Also, a process of dispersing rock wool fiber in water and drying it thereafter is omitted, so that the manufacturing is conducted with ease at low energy cost. |
