PURPOSE: To efficiently generate a high-quality picture by correlating intermediate pictures with the state change of a picture between an already existing picture and a requested picture. CONSTITUTION: A picture 300 is scaled to its proper dimension by releasing the picture 300 from a compressed state, corrected in color to the original color, and rotated after the color of the picture 300 is matched to that of a display device and the resolution of the picture 300 is converted into that of the display device. A requested high-quality picture 360 is generated from an intermediate picture 312 by scaling the picture 312 and matching the color of the picture 312 to that of the display device, and then, converting the resolution of the picture 312 into that of the display device. Intermediate pictures 322-324 are generated during the course of generating the picture 360. A requested highquality picture 380 is generated from the intermediate picture 323 by scaling the picture 323 and rotating the picture 323 after converting the resolution of the picture 323 into that of the display device. Intermediate pictures 333 and 334 are generated during the course of generating the picture 370. |
