PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition improved in flame retardancy by mixing a resin composition comprising a non-halogenated aromatic polycarbonate resin and a fibrous carbon fiber with a specified organophosphoric diester (alkali metal salt) in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. resin composition obtained by mixing 50-97wt.% nonhalogenated aromatic polycarbonate resin of a viscosity-average molecular weight of 13000-40000 with 50-3wt.% fibrous carbon filler is mixed with 0.001-1 pt.wt. mixture of an organophosphoric diester of formula I (wherein X is hydrogen or halogen) with an alkali metal slat of organophosphoric diester, represented by formula II (wherein X is as defined above, and M is an alkali metal),to produce a flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition. In this way, the halogen content can be reduced, and the flame retardancy can be improved without detriment to the excellent properties inherent in an aromatic polycarbonate filled with carbon fibers. |
