PURPOSE: To provide a small filter connector to minimize an increase in volume by using a sheet-like filter. CONSTITUTION: An electrical connector assembly 10 includes at least one signal contact 22 and one shield member 16 which are attached to an insulating housing 12 having a flat external surface part. A filter 32 having electrodes 34 and 38 separated from a dielectric material extends along the outside surface of the insulating housing 12. The electrode 34 is connected to the contact 22, and the other electrode 38 is connected to the shield member 16. An additional filter 32' may be provided between a contact 24 and the shield member 16.
