PURPOSE:To obtain the picture signal processing method in which no picture quality deterioration is caused by preventing the occurrence of interleaved lines or the like. CONSTITUTION:A picture element density is converted before a picture signal from an input device is binarized by making a ratio of a frequency of a clock signal of an output device to a frequency of a picture clock signal of an input device equal to a ratio of a picture element number of the output device to a picture element number of the input device. Furthermore, the clock signal and the picture clock signal are generated by frequency-dividing a basic clock signal with natural numbers m1, m2 and a signal obtained by frequency-dividing the basic clock signal with a value larger (or smaller) than the number m2 is mixed to a picture element clock signal at processing period. |
