PURPOSE:To attain the interpolation of data between the data stored in an exponential function table, to prevent the increase of a storage capacity, and to attain an error smaller than the error of a linear interpolation, with a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:An interpolating device 10 for the exponential function data is equipped with the exponential function data storage means which stores the exponential function as data at plural prescribed points, and interpolating means 14 which interpolates the data between the plural prescribed points stored in the exponential function data storage means. The interpolating means 14 is equipped with the first data generating means which operates the linear interpolation of the data between the two points stored in the exponential function data storage means, and generates linear interpolation data between the two points, the second data generating means which generates the data on the tangents of the two points, and an adding means which adds the data generated by the first data generating means to the data generated by the second data generating means at a prescribed rate. |
