The machine tool head support arm (6) is adjustable in height and angle, carrying the head and spindle (7-9). The spindle is orientable and the head pivot axis passes centrally through the milling cutter (12) periphery. A cross carriage (8) may be inserted between the platform (7) and electrically driven spindle (9) for adjustment in two directions. Machining a helical toothed cutter, equidistant, shifted or variable helix, may be facilitated by a helix generator (10), numerically controlled, with a position locater (11). The vertical axis (13) of the support arm provides full cross carriage rotation.
