PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming device capable of printing with uniform fixation even in the case of changing an image forming speed by adjusting a fixation temperature in accordance with the image forming speed. CONSTITUTION:The whole operation of the image forming device is decided by an image data forming part 1, the output corresponding to the printing method is carried out to respective control parts such as a thinning circuit 2, a motor rotation control part 3 and a fixing device temperature control part 4. Processing on whether the image data from the image data forming part 1 is thinned out or not is performed by the thinning circuit 2 in accordance with the printing method, and the processed result is outputted to a laser driving circuit 5 as an image signal. The rotational speed of a motor for polygon mirror 7 is controlled by the motor rotation control part 3 so that the speed may become normal, or half in accordance with the printing method, and also, the rotational speed of a paper feeding motor 8 is controlled by the control part 3 so that the speed may become twice, or normal. The temperature of the fixing device is controlled by a fixation temperature control part 4 so that the temperature may become high, or normal in accordance with the printing method. For example, in the case of a double speed draft printing, the image data is thinned out every other bit, and the polygon mirror is rotated at a normal speed, the paper is carried at a double speed, and the fixation temperature becomes high. |
