PURPOSE:To provide the camera by which object distance information closer to an actual value with high accuracy is obtained through zoom tracking calculation. CONSTITUTION:Zoom tracking control is executed by a zoom tracking control block 7 in the zooming operation in this camera. Furthermore, when distance information is required, the zoom tracking control block 7 reads data relating to a tracking curve stored in a memory 15 and obtains a difference between a best focal position in an actual value of the focus lens 4 and a designed best focal position based on the tracking data and calculates a distance corresponding to the actual value of the focus lens 4 based on the difference data. |
