PURPOSE: To enable transmission without problems, even when an arbitrary station in a network is unable to detect the transmission of another arbitrary station, in the case of providing the physical layer of LAN as a type for detecting the packet collision and performing retransmission through radio. CONSTITUTION: When the transmission data of two stations A and C are received at a station B, while being overlapped, for example, a code to be used for transmission is coded so as to be an error. The transmission side station A starts transmitting the next packet, after a confirmation signal showing the proper reception of packet from the reception side station B has been received. When the confirmation signal cannot be received within a prescribed time, transmission is stopped. When it is desired to perform transmission from the other station C, the execution of transmission on a data channel is detected, and after waiting just the lapse of random length period (longer than the interval of two confirmation signals), the transmission is performed. |
