SELECTIVE OPERATION METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION DISPLAY AND DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To execute multidimensional scrolling for collecting overlapped data displayed by a multilayer or pseudo-three-dimensional method in a data processing system. CONSTITUTION: A vertical scroll bar 38 has a multidimensional scroll box 44 and scroll buttons 40 and 42. The box 44 is displayed by a pseudo-three- dimensional method and visually indicates a relative displaying position in multiple layers for correcting data by using a depth queue 56. The box 44 is operated on 'Z axis' so that a related layer or another layer in the multiple layers for correcting data displayed by a pseudo-three-dimensional display can be selected by visually selecting the box 44 and utilizing a mouse pointer. When the box 44 is selected with the mouse pointer, the multidimensional scrolling is called by moving a mouse after the right button of the mouse is pressed. Thus the relative position of the box 44 to the depth queue 56 can be changed easily and effectively.
