<p>In a block brake with wheel brake blocks and supplementary brake blocks for rail vehicles, in each case an angle-adjustable compensation lever connects a wheel brake block to a supplementary brake block, the supplementary brake blocks being capable of being pressed onto circumferential surfaces of discs or drums arranged next to or between the wheels symmetrically to the centre of the wheel set. According to the invention, the compensation levers extend beyond the centre of the wheel sets so that they each connect a wheel brake block to the supplementary brake block, further away from the latter, on the other side of the centre of the wheel set. Thus, it is ensured that the change in angle of the compensation levers is as small as possible even in the case of uneven wear of the wheel brake blocks and supplementary brake blocks.</p> |
