The container is made from a flat panel of material, e.g. card, which is cut and folded to make a parallelepiped shape with a base (3), a top (5), side (33) and end walls.One of the end walls (2) forms the lid of the container and is equipped with two side flaps (21, 22) with curved edges which fit inside the container when the lid is closed and act as retaining walls for the product inside the container when the lid is opened.Each of the side flaps (21, 22) has a projection (25, 26) on its end which engages with a slot (53, 54) in the top of the container to limit the opening of the lid.The edge of the lid is equipped with a flap (1) which is inserted into the container when closed.
