PURPOSE:To provide an oxygen sensor having excellent shock resistance. CONSTITUTION:Fittings 7 are designed to be previously brought into contact with an end of a ceramic holder 5 at an oxygen gas detector 20 side, and a buffer material 4 is interposed between the both. An outer diameter of a gasket 2 is formed to be larger than a length of a distance of opposed sides of a hexagonal part of main fittings 7a. Accordingly, a collision of the holder 5 with the fitting 7 due to a deflection of an outer cylinder 10 can be prevented. A shock received initially at the time of dropping a sensor can be intentionally received by the gasket 2 to alleviate the shock by the gasket 2. |
