ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TONER

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a black toner having good balance as a process color by using a specified acid component and specified polyester resin as the main constitutional component of the binder resin and using a coloring matter classified as C.I. Solvent Black 3 as the coloring agent. CONSTITUTION:The mainly constitutional component of the binder resin is a polyester resin obtd. by condensation of acid component containing 70-100mol.% aromatic dicarboxylic acid and an alcohol component containing 50-100mol.% aliphatic polyhydric alcohol and 0-50mol.% alicyclic polyhydric alcohol. This polyester resin has >=58 deg.C glass transition temp. and 1000-6000 number average mol.wt. As for the coloring agent, a dye classified as C.I. Solvent Black 3 is used. As for the polyester resin, any of satd. polyester resin and unsatd. polyester resin may be used. The polyester resin is obtd. by condensation polymn. of polyvalent carboxylic acid and polyhydric alcohol.
