<p>PURPOSE: To provide a high density connector where pitches between contacts are narrow, without decreasing the strength of a wire jointing part. CONSTITUTION: A connector includes a number of contacts 50 having contact parts 52 and wire jointing parts (pressure contact parts) 54, and a contact support block 40 having grooves 42 and recess parts 44 which respectably store the contact parts 52 and the wire jointing parts 54. The recess parts 44 are structured in at least two lines separated from each other. The wire jointing parts 54 stored in the adjacent recess parts are superposed on each other, therefore the narrow pitch connector is obtained. Wide base edges of the wire jointing parts 54 are closely contacted with the shoulder parts of the recess parts 44, consequently the deformation of the wire jointing parts 54 when it is connected is pressure contact is prevented.</p> |
