PURPOSE:To prevent cooling efficiency from lowering by forcibly eliminating bubbles generated by vaporization of refrigerant liquid from a cooling channel inside a magnet coil to operate a superconducting magnet without quenching it. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerant liquid tank 3 wherein a superconducting magnet 1 is contained is divided into two chambers by a partition 5. The divided liquid chambers 3a, 3b are communicated through a cooling channel inside a magnet coil. Ports 8, 9 are provided to each of the liquid chambers 3a, 3b. Either of the liquid chambers can be pressurized or depressurized through the ports, and liquid flow is generated inside a cooling channel by a different pressure generated between the liquid chambers 3a, 3b due to the pressure regulation, thus forcibly eliminating bubbles inside the cooling channel. Deterioration of heat transmission is not caused by bubbles. |
