PURPOSE:To enhance the safety of the in-pile apparatus by a method wherein a cooling structure installed inside an in-pile structure is constituted as a multiple-wall structure. CONSTITUTION:An in-pile structure 18 is installed inside a vacuum container 12, and a torus-shaped inside space 19 in which a plasma 11 is confined is formed. The in-pile structure 18 is formed as a segment structure, and it is provided with an inside blanket 21, an outside blanket 22 and a diverter 23. Since a thermal load subjected from the high-temperature plasma 11 is large at a first wall on the inside blanket 21 and the outside blanket 22, a cooling structure which has executed a heat-removing structure by cooling water is installed. The cooling structure is constituted as a multiple-wall structure which has combined many inner walls and outer walls which are made of, e.g. stainless steel or ferrite steel, and a cooling-water passage is formed inside each inner wall. The outer walls surrounding the individual inner walls may be formed by coupling and integrating the outer walls nutually or as an integral structure in advance. Thereby, many cooling-water passages are arranged in a row shape at the inside of the cooling structure of the first wall. |
