PURPOSE:To provide an optimum receiving system which can simultaneously track an antenna pattern in the coming direction of a desired wave, eliminate the disturbance of interference, and attain the adaptive equalization and the maximum SN ratio, etc., for a multi-path fading circuit. CONSTITUTION:An adaptive array antenna consists of the N element antennas 101 provided at a half-wave interval of radio frequency and an adaptive array filter 102. The output of the array antenna is synthesized with the output of a rear filter 103 by a synthesizer 105 and then supplied to a decider 104. The filter 103 serves as a nonlinear filter which uses the decision output as its input and performs the so-called decision feedback equalization. Both the array filter and the filter 103 are actuated by the square mean minimization MMSE control of the decision error signal received from a subtractor 106. Therefore the common control is attained to the adaptive array and the adaptive equalization by means of a single square mean error MSE evaluation function. |
