PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a planographic printing plate, using a silver salt diffusion transfer method. CONSTITUTION: An image-forming element having a photosensitive layer consisting of a silver halide emulsion, and an image receptive layer contg. a physical developing nucleus on a substrate is image-wise exposed, the element is developed using an alkaline processing soln. in the presence of one or >=2 kinds of developing agents and one or >=2 kinds of silver halide solvents, and developed element is neutralized with a liq. neutralizer at <=pH7, the neutralizer contains a meso-ionic compd. in this case, and the planographic printing plate is produced, according to the silver salt diffusion transfer method. |
