PURPOSE:To provide the camcorder from which an excellent video signal is obtained. CONSTITUTION:The camcorder having a pattern moving correction device 6 detecting a pattern moving component from a television video signal to correct the pattern movement and recording/reproducing the television video signal subected to pattern movement correction is provided with a 1st switch means 5 used to select a recording television video signal obtained by applying photoelectric conversion to a light passing through a lens system or a reproduced television video signal generated based on an output of a reproduction head 3 and with a 2nd switch means 9 turning on/off a pattern movement correction function of the pattern moving correction device 6 and the 1st means 5 is operated to select a recording television video signal in the recording state and to select a reproduced television video signal in the reproduction state and the selected resulting signal is fed to the pattern moving correction device 6.
