PURPOSE:To provide high discharge-operating voltage, high discharge capacity, and resistance to dynamical shock, by regulating the quantity of an alkali electrolyte to that of non-amalgamated zinc and an alkali density. CONSTITUTION:The quantity of an electrolyte to non-amalgamated zinc of 1g. is made 0.20-0.35g., and the total of the density of KOH, NaOH or the mixed aqueous solution of them, the electrolyte, is regulated to 25-40wt.%. This makes this type battery have equal level in operating voltage, a discharge duration time, a zinc utilization factor, and a preservation characteristic compared with a conservative air battery using mercury. For example in a button type air-zinc battery, composed of a positive electrode case 1 and a zinc negative electrode 10 etc., the inner volume of a sealing plate 9 coupled with a gasket 8 is filled with zinc powder and an alkali electrolyte. In a ratio between the zinc powder and the alkali electrolyte, the electrolyte has 0.20 0.35g. to the zinc of 1g. Consequently, a button type air-zinc battery having no trouble practically in both of volume and liquid-leakage performance can be provided. |
