Suspended overhead electrical cables with bird protection plates

Overhead electrical cables (7) are suspended on isolators (3) that are mounted on cross members (1) from pylons (18). The isolators have central spindles (4) that fix into the cross members. Protective screening of the isolators against small birds is provided by enclosures that are formed with vertical wall plates (9) and roof plate elements (11). The wall and roof plates are overlapped and are secured together by screws. The top edges of the roof plates are castellated to interlock together. The plates are metal.
