Each nut is in halves (5,6), each with a radial slot, by which it is fitted onto the bar. One half (5) bears against the bone screw (1), and the other (6) forms a locknut.The slot width can be at least equal to the diameter of the threaded portion of the bar. The first half can have a peripheral flange (16) at one end, protruding in the axial direction, which is a close fit in a mating groove (17) in one end face of the second half.
