The items for wrapping are positioned in a stack on a support platform and the wrap frame (14) is moved vertically down over the stack placing the foil wrap over the stack, following the wrapping sequence hot air is blown onto the stack from all sides by the moving frame to shrink the wrap into place. The temp. of the hot air is regulated w.r.t. the ambient air temp.The ambient temp. is measured around the frame and on the stack. The output air temp. is monitored around the frame. For gas burner heating the calorific value of the gas is monitored. Over temp. protection cuts off the heating while maintaining the airflow.
