A material handling system for effecting the transfer of powdered fluent material with respect to a container while preventing the escape of such material to a surrounding work environment. The system comprises a container having an opening (17) in its top, a lower closure device (25) secured to the container at its top movable between a closed position closing the container opening (17) and an open position for permitting access to the interior of the container opening (17). An upper closure device (27) is releasably attachable to the container above the lower closure device (25). At least part of the upper closure device (27) is removable from the container to permit access to the container opening (17) when the lower closure device (25) is open. |
