The telephone number registering and confirming method comprises the steps of: sending a key sensing tone according to an input of a register key, clearing a temporary memory map and receiving a register location designating key; storing a register location designating address to the temporary memory, recording a name according to a recording signal tone, receiving a recording start address of the name, checking whether a prescribed time elapses, and if not, checking whether a telephone number is received; if the prescribed time elapses, storing recording stop and end addresses and repeating the recorded name; sending a signal tone for the input telephone number and registering the telephone number. The method confirms a registered telephone number without an additional name card.
