<p>In a method and an apparatus for handling the yarn in a ring-spinning machine, after the closing of the clamping sleeve (18) and the clamping of the yarn (26) underneath the under-winding crown (16) the yarn (26) is still delivered by the drawframe roller (62) until a specific weak yarn tension prevails in the portion between the under-winding crown (16) and drawframe roller (60). During the subsequent displacement of the doffer gripper (40), the yarn tension rises only so far that no yarn damage occurs and, during the subsequent piecing, no yarn breaks occur. <IMAGE></p> |
