The filtered drink is contained in enclosed packets (21) arranged in flat, regular shape stacks in a filter holder (3) which has a support surface (311) crosswise to the water's through-flow direction and which matches the size and shape of a flat positioned packet. Around the support surface are side walls (312) parallel to the water's through-flow direction. The filter packet is in two parts an underneath part (211) of filter material with a recess the height of the filter packet; and a second part in the form of a flat, smooth covering layer (212) of filter material. The edges of both parts, enclosing the filtered coffee or tea, are joined by a ridged pattern.
