PURPOSE:To obtain an optical switch which automatically minimizes fine movement corrections of a master-side connector position when the master-side connector and the coupling destination optical transmission line of a connector unit are optically coupled. CONSTITUTION:For the optical coupling between the master-side connector 11 and the one core of the optical transmission line 12a of the collector unit 12, this optical switch is equipped with a control means A which moves the master-side connector 11 by a fine moving means B according to the previously stored address (position in the unit of the optical transmission line 12a) of the master-side connector 11, detects the quantity of the positional deviation between the master-side connector 11 and coupling destination optical transmission line 12a from the quantity of reflected light from the coupling destination transmission line 12a of the connector unit 12, and finely adjusts the master-side connector 11 to the position of the coupling destination optical transmission line 12a by a fine moving means C. This control means A newly calculates the address of the connector unit from the quantity of fine movement of the master-side connector 11 by the fine moving means C and the stored address of the connector unit and re-stores it as the new address of the connector unit. |
