A money operated machine has a housing with inlet slots (19) for coins that lead to two channel (21, 22) that effect delivery into removable magazines (7, 9) within the base. A control unit (10) is built into the base and also included is a unit (6) that accepts and checks banknotes. A delivery point (24) is provided at the front of the housing. Coins are delivered from the appropriate source by a feed belt handling system. The coins are transferred into the front opening cup-shaped unit.
