The second image is reflected by the first image emitting unit (1) substantially in the same direction as the first image is emitted from the first image emitting unit (1). A reflection member (2) reflects the first and second images in a predetermined direction, for example, towards a viewpoint of driver (6) in case of application for automobiles. The reflected images may be observed as a superimposed virtual image. The superimposed virtual image is easy for an observer to focus thereon, resulting in high visibility of displayed image. <IMAGE>
