Polypeptides having a serotoninergic receptor activity, medicaments based on said polypeptides, nucleotidic fragments coding for them, probes for detecting said fragments, vectors and hosts expressing said polypeptides, and application to the screening of medicaments. New polypeptides having an activity of new serotoninergic receptors 5HT6 or 5HT7 and aminoacid fragments coding for said polypeptides. Cellular hosts transformed by vectors in which these fragments have been inserted express these polypeptides. Applications to said polypeptides and fragments for the production of antibodies, the production of medicaments, nucleotidic probes for diagnosis and detection, screening of medicaments intended particularly for treatment of neurologic or gastro-enterologic disorders and for the identification of tissues or cells.
