The turntable 32 of a trailer is provided with rollers 52 on the shaft 36 carrying the main ramp-engaging rollers 35, the rollers 52 being adapted to depress the upwardly biased hooks 25 disposed between pairs of plates 22 and enter the recesses 29 where they are retained when the tractor and trailer are coupled together. The supporting means for the front end of the trailer may be as described in Specification 740,688 and the brake means described in Specification 740,721, [Group XXXIV], may also be incorporated in the assembly. |
