<p>A method for continuously decarbonating and deliming untreated pH-neutral calcareous water, including a first step in which pressurised water to be treated is passed through a catalytic material consisting of organometallic granules enclosed in a first cartridge, in order to reduce the carbonates to carbon dioxide and flocculate the calcareous salts; and a second step in which the carbon dioxide/decarbonated water mixture is fed into a second filtering cartridge containing oxygenated activated charcoal in order to reprecipitate the carbon dioxide to carbonate and provide purified water.</p> |
