<p>A prefabricated expansion joint element for concrete structures (1) comprises two spaced boundary plates (2, 3). One of the boundary plates (2) is provided with a glide plate (4) extending into a chamber (5) in the opposite boundary plate (3). The chamber (5) contains a seal (8), e.g. of water swelling rubber. The space (9) between the boundary plates (2, 3) is filled with a foamed plastic material and is packed with jointing material (10) at the ends.</p> |
