<p>The invention relates to antibodies specific for equid herpesvirus type 1 (EHV-1) and to the use of such antibodies in the diagnosis of EHV-1 infection in a horse. Such antibodies are raised against an epitope on the nucleocapsid of EHV-1 and are capable of distinguishing between EHV-1 and the closely related equid herpesvirus type 4 (EHV-4).</p> |
