This device constitutes an alternative to the traditional aqueduct tower (hollow tower in concrete with a vertical pipe inside on which selectable take-offs are coupled at various heights). The invention makes it possible to vary the depth of the take-off inlet below the level of the lake continuously, so as to be able to tap water at the depth where its biochemical and temperature characteristics are best. This is achieved with a concrete tower with a U-shaped horizontal section where, parallel to the open side, is a band, consisting of a continuous shutter, drawn by a top drum and driven by a bottom drum. The external branch of the band bears the rectangular inlet mouth for the water; the outlet, from the space delimited by the band and by the side walls of the tower, is located at the base of the tower, through a side wall.
|
