PURPOSE:To obtain a prosthesis which is elastic and with stands embedding in vivo for a long time by making it up of knit fabric, woven fabric, a braided matter, nonwoven fabric comprising an olefin elastomer filament or a composite thereof. CONSTITUTION:A structural body comprising a filament indicates knit fabric, woven fabric, a braided matter, nonwoven fabric or the like and plain fabrics, knit goods or the like are available. The diameter of the filament is preferably in a range of 0.005mmphi-1mmphi. The body is not specifically limited only if the material thereof is a biologically stable olefin elastomer and is, for example, a composite material comprising olefin rubber such as ethylene propylene rubber or isoprene isobutylene rubber, polypropylene or polyethylene. The structural body is made of the material of such a type to acquire softness, stability in vivo and tissue infiltration property. A prosthesis thus obtained is effective with no deterioration even in embedding for a long time without causing inflammation, hypertrophy and the like at a part to be implanted. |
