PURPOSE: To obtain a uniform practically dry trace nutrient compsn. capable of direct blending, having superior fluidity, high density, fine color and superior chemical stability and making the trace nutrient easy to utilize. CONSTITUTION: This practically dry trace nutrient compsn. contains about <=15 wt.% trace nutrient, a binder enough to enable bonding and a density increaser of about 40-325 mesh particle diameter enough to increase density and has about 0.7-1.2 g/cm<3> density after tapping. The density increaser has been practically coated with the trace nutrient and the binder. This compsn. is produced by dissolving or dispersing proper amts. of the trace nutrient and the binder in water, suspending a proper amt. of the density increaser in the resultant soln. or dispersion and spray-drying the resultant suspension optionally in the presence of SiO2 . |
