PURPOSE: To make it needless to newly set and control a focusing adjusting device after grinding a working surface of a tool as well by mounting a supporting block of the focusing adjusting device of a laser beam welding equipment on the working surface of the lower tool body and making a cutting edge of a die set so as to align with the working surface. CONSTITUTION: A laser beam welding equipment has a focusing adjusting device 16 and at least a supporting block 24 to guide and support this focusing adjusting device 16; the focusing adjusting device 16 is specialized in its prescribed focal distance and focus. A tool assembly includes its body having a working surface 18, and has a recessed part for a die 12 to be inserted therein; the die 12 has a cutting edge 20 which is aligned with the working surface. The supporting block 24 is designed and arranged to converge the focus at a prescribed point of the die 12 so that laser beam may weld the working parts by a focusing adjusting device 16 mounting on the surface block 24. The block 24 has a guide surface that positions the block 24 at a focus in the die.
