NITROGEN OXIDE REMOVAL CATALYST AND REMOVING METHOD

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a catalyst capable of efficient removal of NOx from waste combustion gas contg. NOx and more than an amt. of oxygen reacting theoretically with unburned components such as carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon, e.g. waste combustion gas from a fixed burner and a gasoline engine, a diesel engine, etc., for combustion under the condition of excess oxygen and to provide a removing method using the catalyst. CONSTITUTION:Tin or tin oxide is carried on a porous inorg. oxide to obtain the NOx removal catalyst and NOx in waste gas is removed by bringing the waste gas into contact with the catalyst at 200-600 deg.C in the presence of residual hydrocarbon in the waste gas and/or hydrocarbon or an oxygen-contg. org. compd. added from the outside as a reducing agent.
