PURPOSE:To enable efficient catalytic decomposition of nitrous oxide waste gas even at low temp. by making at least one among Ru, Rh and Ir and at least one among Cu, Co and Fe carried on alumina. CONSTITUTION:At least one among Ru, Rh and Ir and at least one among Cu, Co and Fe are carried on Al2O3 as a carrier formed in various shapes such as a honeycomb shape and a spherical shape to obtain the catalyst used at the time of decomposing and removing nitrous oxide contained in waste gas discharged from a plant, an automobile, rubbish treatment facilities, etc. When this catalyst is used, efficient catalytic decomposition of nitrous oxide in waste gas can be attained even at low temp. and this catalyst is hardly affected by moisture even if the moisture exists in waste gas. |
