PURPOSE:To provide a molding material which is light in weight and excellent in toughness comprising a hollow filler and fiber reinforcing materials on its both surfaces, and manufacture the molding material very simply. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a three-layer structure wherein a hollow filler 4 is sandwiched in between fiber reinforcing materials 2 and 3. A thermosetting resin composition 5 with which at least one layer among the hollow filler and the fiber reinforcing materials is previously impregnated is made to impregnate the whole of the three layers of the hollow filler and the fiber reinforcing materials with it, or to be impregnated with each other so as to make an integrated structure.
