PURPOSE:To improve the workability of a joint preassembling device by providing a center column vertical moving means for vertically moving the center column in the state of placing the center column on a center table. CONSTITUTION:In this joint preassembling device, the center column 23 is placed on the center table 3 and centered and fixed by chuck mechanism 15, and a steel material is arranged at the side part of the center column 23 in the state of supporting on the center table 3 and a slide table, welded and fixed to the center column 23. Further, the center column vertical moving means 61 for vertically moving the center column 23 in the state of placing the center column 23 on the center table 3 is provided. By this method, since the upper end surface of the center column 23 can equalized to the upper end surface of the steel material to be welded and fixed to this center column, the workability in the succeeding work can drastically be improved. |
