PURPOSE: To obtain a water-dispersible granular herbicide compsn. contg. a dinitroaniline herbicide optionally in combination with an imidazolinone herbicide and having shelf stability and desirable dispersibility. CONSTITUTION: This water-dispersible granular herbicide compsn. contains 20-90 wt.% dinitroaniline herbicide, preferably compd. represented by the formula optionally in combination with 1-20 wt.% imidazolinone herbicide such as imazaquin or imazapyr, 5-25 wt.% carrier such as swellable clay, 1.0-7.5 wt.% wetting agent such as sodium laurylsulfonate, 2-10 wt.% suspending agent such as alkylnaphthalenesulfonate and 0.5-20 wt.% dispersion promoter such as base or water-swellable polymer contg. a cellulose material. In the formula, R1 is H, a 1-4C alkyl, 3-4C alkenyl or 3-4C alkynyl, R2 is a 1-6C alkyl, 3-4C alkenyl or 3-4C alkynyl, R3 is H, CH3 or CH2 OCH3 and R4 is a 1-4C alkyl, CF3 or Cl. |
