PURPOSE:To obtain a starch processed food useful for the alimentotherapy of patients limited in protein intake, improved in taste and palate feeling, by processing a composition mainly comprising starch and whey minerals to an artificial rice or noodle form using an extruder. CONSTITUTION:A composition mainly comprising starch and whey minerals is first kneaded with water, using an extruder, followed by heating, extruding and cutting, successively. Then, the cut product is either directly, or after molding, is dried to obtain the objective food. The starch is pref. rice starch or corn starch, when to be processed into artificial rice; while, being pref. potato starch or wheat flour starch, in the case of being processed into a noodle-like form. The starch content and whey mineral content of the final processed food are pref. 80-99wt.% and 0.2-5wt.%, respectively. |
