PURPOSE:To secure safety so as not to injure even if an operator touches a teaching head by mistake during teaching operation by providing a detecting means for detecting floating condition of an auxiliary cover and outputting an action stopping signal of the teaching head with the floating detected signal from this detecting means. CONSTITUTION:An outer surface projecting part of the teaching head 1 for laser beam machining is covered with the auxiliary covers 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and these auxiliary covers are fitted so as to be possible to float to the outer surface of the teaching head 1. Further, a belt-like piezo switch 23 being the floating detecting means is stuck to almost whole circumference of edge part of each auxiliary cover at each bracket 4, 5 surface side, and on this upper surface, the edge part of the auxiliary cover is abutted and supported. At the time of teaching work, even if the operator touches the head by mistake, he does not directly touch the head, but shock at the time of touching is relaxed because of interposition of the auxiliary cover. Further, by detecting the floating, the action of the head can immediately be stopped. |
